New York State Address Confidentiality Program (ACP)

The New York Department of State has developed an Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) for domestic violence victims. If you are an eligible domestic violence victim, you can now submit an application to the ACP to be assigned a substitute address that you can use to receive first class mail and receive service of court documents.

The ACP is designed to help protect your actual address if you are no longer living with your abuser. This substitute address will be accepted by all state and local government agencies and may be accepted by non-government organizations, private businesses and companies. For more information about the ACP and how to apply for a substitute address, please visit the ACP website or call (855) 350-4595 (toll free).
